The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has appointed veteran town planner, Mukhtar Usman Galadima, as his Senior Special Assistant on Development Control and Planning.
Galadima, a seasoned professional with more than 30 years of service across key FCTA agencies, including the Department of Development Control under the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council and the Satellite Towns Development Agency, retired from the civil service last month. He served as Director of the Department of Development Control from 2016 until his retirement.
Throughout his career, he participated in several high-level ministerial committees, notably the Abuja Masterplan Restoration Task Team and panels on revoked land titles and land-use changes.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, the appointment takes immediate effect.
