Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) Chairman, Hajji Gafar Liameed has assured football loving Lagosians to expect exciting football at this year Lagos FA Cup finals which kicks off this Sunday 22nd of March, 2026 at the Inspire Stadium, Oshodi
Liameed gave the assurance, at the draw ceremony held on Tuesday 17th of March at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos which revealed no fewer 77 teams set to compete for the new FA Cup trophy which was also unveiled at the ceremony.
Speaking with Thisnigeria media, the Lagos FA boss acknowledged the high number of participating clubs in this year’s edition and advised them to be of good behaviour as acts of indiscipline would not be tolerated.
“I’m impressed with the number of clubs competing at this stage of the competition – 77 of them, It’s going be fun and Lagos football fans should expect exciting FA Cup. We also expect the clubs to be of good behaviour as well because the FA will not tolerate any act of indiscipline,” he said.
In Sunday’s fixtures, Satecn FC will test their Lagos FA Cup title dream against East Lane FA at the Inspire Stadium, Oshodi. In the second match of the day Ikonnect FA will take on Evolution Utd FC at the same venue at 10am. The third match at 12 noon, will see Osykay Int’l FC trade tackles with Oaklag FC, while Elite Stars FC will clash with OoA FA at 2pm
All the winners will progress into the next knockout stage.
On Monday, 23rd of March, Easy Inter Global FC will face Awatown FC, Athletic SC 2022 will clash with Gemstones Int’l. Goalgetters FA and Budu Elites FA will faceoff, while Fire Crackers will clash with Roms FA. All Monday’s fixture will be played at the Maracana Stadium, Ajegunle.
