
The management of the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo, has approved the promotion of 283 staff, to boost productivity and efficiency in staff output, according to the acting Rector of the institution, Mr. Mustaphar Zubair.
At a press conference in Auchi, Edo, on Wednesday, Zubair said: “The management of the Federal Polytechnic Auchi has approved the promotion of 283 staffs from both the academic and non-academic sectors.
“141 are senior academic staff promoted to different ranks just about two weeks ago, and many of them have received their letters to that effect.
“We also have 142 non-academic staff making a total of 283 staff promoted this year,” he said.

Zubair added that following a meeting of the institution’s council, the management had also approved academic leave for 63 lecturers, for both local and international study, under the TETFUND’s Academic Training Development Scheme.
The acting rector stated that staff welfare remained one of the institution’s priorities because it was key to achieving optimal productivity.
