Ogun Assembly tasks contractors on timely delivery of road projects

The Ogun House of Assembly Committee on Works and Infrastructure has urged contractors handling road projects across the state to ensure timely delivery of the projects.

Mr. Abayomi Fasuwa, the Committee Chairman, said this on Wednesday in Abeokuta after an on-the-spot assessment of various road projects in Ogun Central and East senatorial districts with his team.

Fasuwa commended the pace of work done by the contractors on the project sites.

He led other members to assess Somorin-Kemta-Idi-aba road, Lafenwa-Rounder-Olorunda- Ayetoro road, Olomore junction, Sanni road at Lafenwa roundabout, and Panseke-Adigbe road.

They also visited Ijebu-ode-Epe-interchange Flyover, Ejinrin-Idowa-Ibefun-Itokin road, Ilishan Market road, and Sagamu-Ode Lemo road.

Fasuwa commended the infrastructural drive of Gov. Dapo Abiodun led-administration.

He said that the completion of the roads would ease human and vehicular movements, as well as enhance the socio-economic development of the state.

Mr Roger Khatter, the Chief Surveyor, Craneburg Construction who conducted the lawmakers around the Ijebu-Ode-Epe-interchange Flyover, said that the construction work had reached over 90 percent.

The representative of the contractor handling Illisan market road, Mr. Ladipo Olusola, said the road which was almost 90 per cent completed would be ready for delivery by the end of March.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that other members of the committee are Oludaisi Elemide, Olakunle Sobukanla, Atinuke Bello, Yusuf Amosun, Damilola Soneye, Abdul Oladunjoye, and Yusuf Adejojo. (NAN)
