Former, current APC governors frustrating party’s success – Adamu

By David Lawani, Abuja
The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu has alleged that some current and past governors of the party are bent on truncating the party’s fortunes.

Adamu made this observation during his opening remarks at the APC 11th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the Transcorp Hotel in Abuja.

Nobody will be allowed to destabilise Nigeria – Buhari vows

The meeting is being attended by President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, House Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila and other critical stakeholders who are members of the NEC.

He declared that state governors are leaders of the party in their states, saying the APC constitution does not have provision for dual leadership in the states.

He, however, accepted that former governors are leaders in their own rights, urging serving governors to accord them all the necessary respect.
