FRSC decorates newly promoted officers in Osun

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Osogbo on Friday decorated some newly promoted officers in Osun with their ranks.

The Corps Marshal, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, charged the promoted officers to be committed, hardworking, and more useful in the discharge of their new assignment.

Oyeyemi was represented by Mrs. Winifred Chukwura, the Acting Zonal Commanding Officer (ZCO) in charge of Osun, Oyo, and the Ekiti States.

The corps marshal’s message was delivered on the sideline of decorations of the newly promoted officers at the FRSC Officers’ Mess in Osogbo.

He noted that promotion in the agency was aligned with hard work, sacrifice and relentless efforts for the best to be selected out of the majority.

According to him, the newly promoted officers must not take for granted the magnanimity of the corps marshal and also the FRSC management, especially putting in their level best when carrying out their lawful duties.

Oyeyemi called on the officers to prove their worth in their various portfolios and capacity.

The FRSC boss said the agency demanded more resilience and hard work from the decorated officers.

The newly decorated officers promoted to their various ranks are Corps Commander Elijah Joseph; Corps Commander Leye Adegboyega; Deputy Corps Commander Olabisi Opabunmi; and Assistant Corps Commander Medinat Alao.

Others include Chief Route Commander Ogumba Anthony; Folutola Fabiyi; and Winifred Habila.

One of the newly decorated officers, Adegboyega said, “I feel elated to be promoted and I returned all glory to God who had made it possible for me to be among the lucky ones”.

Adegboyega appreciated the corps marshal and the entire FRSC management for the new rank given to him and promised to put in his best.

Opabunmi also thanked the corps marshal for the promotion which demanded more effort and task.

Opabunmi urged those who were not lucky to be promoted to keep the faith and put in more effort, saying that promotion came from God and in due time they would be among the lucky ones.
