
Three men were on Friday docked in an Apapa Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing one 20ft container worth N3 million.
The police charged Izuchukwu Udeogwu, 45; Chukwuemeka Lambert; 36, and Daniel Stephen; 32, with conspiracy forgery and theft.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp Balogun Adeniyi, told the court that the defendants some others at large committed the offense on Dec. 31, 2021, at Bollore Terminal, Apapa Magisterial district.
He alleged that the defendants stole the 20ft container, property of Mr. Francis Obiako.
The police also alleged that the defendants forged a Tin-can Island container terminal delivery order, dated March 7, 2022.

Adeniyi submitted that the offense contravened the provisions of sections 287, 365, and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Magistrate A. O. Morafa admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties each in like sum.

He ordered that one of the sureties must be a blood relation of the defendants.
The magistrate adjourned the matter until May 24 for mention.
