
Edison Ehie, who led a group of four lawmakers in Rivers State Assembly as ‘speaker’, has resigned.
Ehie’s resignation was contained in a letter dated 29th December, 2023.
He stated that his decision to step down was voluntary, adding that he hoped to continue to give his best to the people of Rivers State.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu had directed that only the leadership of Martins Amaewhule, as the speaker of the state assembly, should be recognised.
