The speaker of the House of Representative, Hon Tajudeen Abass has declared Hon. Julius Ihonvbere (APC) and Kingsley Chinda (PDP) as the Majority and Minority leaders respectively.
The speaker also named Usman Bello Kumo (APC, Gombe) as the Chief Whip of the House.

Others appointed includes; Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims (Kogi, APC) as Deputy majority leader, Hon. Adewumi Onanuga (Ogun, APC) as Deputy Majority Whip, Hon. Ali Isa JC (Gombe, PDP) as Minority Leader.
The rest include Hon. Ali Madaki (Kano, NNPP) as Deputy Minority Whip and Hon. George Ozodinobi (Anambra, LP) as Deputy Minority Whip.
