Grammy Award: Rivers to host Burna Boy

Rivers State Government is putting up arrangements to host Grammy Award winning Afrobeat artiste, Damini Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy, to a homecoming.
The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mr. Tonye Oniyide, said in a congratulatory letter to Burna Boy, who hails from Engenni in Rivers State, had made the history and Rivers State proud by winning the award.
In a similar vein, the National President of the Coalition of Nigerian Artistes, Ikana Iwunya, has described the Grammy Award won by Burna Boy as well deserved and a boost to other Nigerian Artistes.

“The award to Burna Boy is a plus to Rivers State and the Niger Delta region at large,” he said.
Iwunya urged government at all tiers and private organisations to partner with creative artistes to bring more dividends from the sector.
