Kano Pillars congratulate Yola on appointment as chief of staff to sports minister

The management of Kano Pillars Football Club has congratulated the former chairman of the club, Alhaji Abba Yola, on his appointment as the chief of staff to the minister for Youths and Sports, Mr. Sunday Dare.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Media Officer of the club, Malam Rilwan Malikawa, on Monday in Kano.

According to the statement, the chairman of the club, Alhaji Surajo Yahaya, led the management staff of the club to the residence of Yola in Abuja on Sunday.
Yahaya described the appointment of Yola as well deserved, considering his vast experience in sports administration.

“We as Kano Pillars family congratulate you on this appointment which is a well-deserved appointment not only to Yola but to Kano people as a whole,” he explained.

The chairman thanked the minister for appointing their son and expressed confidence that Yola, a seasoned football administrator, would contribute meaningfully to sports development.

He then assured the new Chief of Staff of Kano Pillars’ support and cooperation in the discharge of his duty.

He also requested he continues assisting and advising them with meaningful suggestions in order to move the club to the next level.

Responding, the new chief of staff to the minister, expressed his appreciation and thanked the club management for the visit.

The former chairman of the club pledged to remain a good ambassador to the government and good people of Kano state anywhere he found himself.

Yola then congratulated Kano Pillars for appointing Coach Salisu Yusuf as their new technical adviser and urged them to give him a free hand to discharge his duties and wish the club the best of luck in the forthcoming 2021/2022 football season. (NAN)
