Group congratulates Gov. Obaseki and his Deputy on their Re-Election

A group, Ezi International Association, EIA, USA, has congratulated the Governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu and the campaign team on their re-election in the September 19, 2020 Governorship election in Edo State.
The congratulatory letter contain in a released signed by its Secretary, Dr. Charles Jagun, said its members were delighted with the success of the campaign highlighting Governor Obaseki’s programmes and plans for the state and Akoko Edo Local Government Area, which led to his victory at the poll.
According to Jagun: “The results of the election are a testimony to the resolve of the Edo people to appreciate your accomplishment of the last four years in good governance, a transformation of the political culture of the state, and commendable projects in all sectors of government.”
He said members of the Ezi International, USA were incredibly excited at the governor’s efforts in rekindling infrastructural development at Igarra and Akoko Edo and equally appreciative of the steps taken to addressed security with the recent recognition and funding of the Igarra vigilante group.
The group also reminded Governor Obaseki of his several promises of bringing infrastructural developments to lift up Akoko-Edo Local Government Area.
It said: ” As we celebrate your victory for the continued good governance that you initiated in the state, we note your promises for Akoko Edo people, deprived of meaningful infrastructural development and commercial activities until your coming in 2016.
” Your commitment and interest to expand and retool Igarra Technical College and its possible expansion into an institution of higher learning, making Ibillo axis the commercial nerve center for garri processing in West Africa, revamping of Igarra Cattle Ranch, construction of Ibillo-Igarra-Auchi road, Ososo-Okpella road, Igarra- Okpe-Ondo boundary road, Imoga-Ibillo road, among other projects”.
The EIA however reminded the governor of his plans of citing commercial activities and modern training or educational infrastructure in Igarra, one of the top 10 towns in landmass and population in the state. The group said fulfilling these promises will curb unemployment, crime, and the rural-urban migration that pervades the area.
These projects if implemented, the group noted, will have multiplier effects in the whole of Akoko Edo as they will boost economic and social activities in the area and its surroundings, while helping to reduce crime and criminality within the axis.
The group prayed that the gracious Lord and Igarra ancestors will continue to guide and keep Governor Obaseki strong as he remains focused in his service to Edo state and humanity.
The Ezi International Association, USA is a royal group of Igarra indigenes based in the United States of America.
