Guber Election:Shun Apathy, Cleric Urges Ondo Electorate

Ahead of Saturday House of Assembly elections in Ondo state,a muslim cleric has cautioned Nigerians against voting apathy due to frustration,thuggery,and acts that can derail democratic settings in the country.

 

The Chief  Imam of Erusu-Akoko,Sheik  Rasaki Aliu said the call became imperative when one considered the mood of the nation as many are suffering due to cash crisis and other challenges.

 

The muslim cleric noted that the only way forward is to troop out and vote for better candidates that will lead us for the next four years.

 

Aliu noted that if right leaders are elected,Nigeria’s problems will be over.

 

On the forthcoming Ramadan,the cleric appealed to government and banks for the sake of Allah to find an urgent solutions to the ongoing cash scarcity so as to allow Muslims fulfil one of the five pillars of Islam with less hardships.

He called on the federal government to provide palliatives that would cushion the effects of the ongoing hardships brought about by cashless situation.

 

The cleric called for fervent prayers for all the segment of government in the country to be able to put smiles to the faces of the downtrodden.
