I became a singer after I left UK prison- Burna boy

Afrobeat singer and songwriter Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna boy on Wednesday said he came into the Nigerian music industry after a left Chelmford HMP, a prison in the united kingdom.
Recounting his journey into the industry , Burna boy in a tweet on Wednesday revealed that he had no idea he would live this long, adding that he was glad to be alive to do what he loves.
The singer was in 2010 accused of allegedly murdering someone which led to his remand at the Chelmford HMP, which according to report led to his ban from the UK for 15years

“Nigeria really doesn’t know me. I don’t care to be the biggest Nigerian artist, I’m just happy I can do what I love and take care of my people from it. If you knew half the shit I used to do for money, risky my freedom daily you would way happier for me
“I came into the music industry straight from CHELMSFORD HMP. I had no idea I would even live this long. So when people talk about me now it’s all just funny. Of course, I will perform with my injured leg or even legs or arm.” he tweeted
