Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has revealed why he is pained by his failure to secure the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 general elections.
Speaking with select television stations on Friday in Port Harcourt, Wike said that he is pained that he would be unable to fight insecurity and oil theft in the country.

“I’m pained that I wasn’t able to face the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 presidential election. I am pained that I am unable to fight bandits and oil theft.
“These were two things I told myself I was going to do. I said I was going to fight terrorists and oil theft squarely,” the governor said.
ThisNigeria reported that Atiku Abubakar emerged as the presidential candidate of the PDP with 371 votes.
