Apex pan-Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, yesterday dismissed the Abuja protests against the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, as the handiwork of opposition parties in an attempt to distract the President Bola Tinubu administration.
The Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, in a statement, specifically asked the opposition political parties to allow Wike to focus on his duties and not embark on politicking.
According to Ohanaeze, the politically-sponsored protests in Abuja yesterday were mobilized by an opposition governor and presidential candidate to score cheap political goals and distract Wike, who is one of the pillars of the Tinubu administration.

Isiguzoro noted that despite the Ikwerre being Igbo, the Ndigbo will protect their own.
He asked Tinubu to ignore the antics of opposition parties to distract his administration.
The Ohanaeze scribe further stated that Nigerians know that President Tinubu is an experienced leader and father of the nation.
Tinubu, he said, “can catch a glimpse of the opposition grandstanding to weaken his administration through childish protests.”
