
Mohammed Adamu, Inspector General of Police, has placed Adeleye Olusola Oyebade, who happens to be the Deputy Inspector General of Police, in charge of Research and Planning to supervise security arrangements for the Edo governorship election coming up on Saturday.
Oyebade would receive assistance from Karma Hosea Hassan, Assistant Inspector General of Police, in the supervision of the security framework so as to ensure that the election is duly monitored and the electoral laws are not breached.
They would also be supported by Commissioners of Police, especially CP Omololu .S. Bishi and CP Abutu Yaro who would be supervising Edo North senatorial district; CP Philip Aliyu Ogbadu for Edo Central Senatorial District and CP Olokade T. Olawale for Edo South Senatorial District.
Adamu also reiterated that security personnel are restricted from their attachments to any of their principals next week Saturday, and anyone who disobeyed this order would be dealt with.
