‘I’m suffering from life-threatening ailment,’ Maina tells court

Former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Abdulrasheed Maina has told the Federal High Court in Abuja that he is suffering from a life-threatening ailment.

Maina’s lawyer told the court at the hearing of the motion that his client requires urgent medical attention on Tuesday.

He added that his client who is currently serving his jail term at Kuje Prison has fundamental rights to life.

“Applicant is in a critical health condition that requires urgent medical attention, hence the need for prayer one on the face of this application.

“Applicant’s fundamental rights to life, the dignity of the human person and freedom from cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment are seriously under challenge and continually being breached by the respondents.”
