Imo Monarch in Trouble With the Law

The Police Command of Imo State Operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping  Unit and the Anti-Robbery Squad captured and arrested one traditional ruler in Awara, Obor community in Oguta Local Government Area of the state, named Eze Andrew Okuegbunuwa and one so-called Pastor Caleb Age for a supposed kidnapping.

Mr Isaac Akinmoyede, the state Commissioner of Police, presented the traditional ruler along with six of his cohorts, in the command headquarters. He said they were responsible for the killing of two government personnel of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency a few months prior to this crime.

Akinmoyede mentioned that the pastor was the leader of the group and provided the gang with an operational vehicle for their raids. He further expressed that the police recovered N4.2 million as part of the ransom the suspects collected from their victims.

He further revealed that they recovered four AK-47 rifles, 120 rounds of live ammunition, one rifle belonging to one of the slain NDLEA officers, one Lexus Sport Utility Vehicle and other dangerous exhibits.
