The Senate has unanimously confirmed the nomination of Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, immediate past chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for a second term in office.
The confirmation is sequel to last month’s letter from President Muhammadu Buhari to the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, in accordance with the 1999 constitution, as amended, and the favourable report of the Senate Committee on Elections and INEC presented to Red Chamber by its chairman, Kabir Gaya.
