Cyril Akunyili, a sibling to the late Dr Chike Akunyili has accused the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) of assassinating his brother on Tuesday, September 28.
Akunyili made the accusation in a now-deleted Facebook post on Wednesday.
ThisNigeria reported that unidentified gunmen had shot Dr Chike, who was the husband to the late former Director-General of the National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
It was gathered that the deceased was on his way from Onitsha in Anambra state.

His driver and escort were also killed by the assailants.
Accusing IPOB, Cyril Akunyili wrote: “IPOB killed my senior brother. Why? Husband of Professor Dora Akunyili is dead. IPOB Why on a Tuesday?”
