Jos to host maiden NNL club owners/ managers pre- season tournament

 

The maiden edition of the Nigerian National League Club Owners and Managers Association pre-season tournament earlier scheduled to be held at the International Stadium Lafia, Nasarawa State has now been moved to the New Jos township Stadium, Plateau State.

The change in the venue is occasioned by the organisers’ resolve to ensure ease of movement for all the participants and stakeholders in the League since the Annual General Meeting of the Nigeria National League is equally scheduled to be held in Jos the Plateau State Capital.

The organisers noted that the NNL NALCOMA is championing a novel idea for pre-season tourney in the country to ensure quality football as it’s done in other football countries of the world as well as to prepare smooth ground for the kick-off of the League.

Another important feature of this maiden tournament is to see the workability of giving awards to deserving teams , players and other relevant actors in the tournament as a way of motivating them in readiness for the League proper.

Among the teams confirmed for the tournament are; Crown FC of Ogbomosho, City FC, Abuja, Rovers of Calabar, Giant Brilla, Enugu, Mighty Jets of Jos and Mailantarki FC of Gombe.

Others are: Jigawa Golden Stars, FC One Rocket, Akwa Ibom, Abia Comet and Sokoto United amongst others.

The organisers further announced that draws for the tournament holds Saturday, 30th September, 2023 at the New Jos Township Stadium while the grand finale will take place on Saturday October, 7, 2023.
