Carnival Calabar has profound impact on job creation, income generation, infrastructure devt – Minister

The Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh has advised the Nigerian business community to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the annual Calabar Carnival and Festivals.

Senator Enoh gave the advice on December 28, 2024, as he speaks at the ongoing 2024 Calabar Carnival and Festivals in Cross River State, where he was accompanied by his family members to celebrat the event.

According to the minister, Carnival has a profound impact on job creation, income generation, and infrastructure development in the state as well as the country in general and commended the Cross State Government for sustaining it in the past two decades.

“Today,my family and I were in Cross River State, our home state, to participate in the 2024 edition of Carnival Calabar.

“Carnival Calabar has a profound impact on job creation, income generation, and infrastructure development in Cross River State. I commend His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu for his tireless efforts in sustaining the brand,” the minister said.

This year’s carnival tagged, “Our Shared Prosperity” is an exceptional celebration of Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, which attracts participants from across the globe.

Apart from exposing Nigeria’s rich cultures to the world, the annual Calabar Carnival and Festivals, also offers an avenue for businesses and industries to leverage.

The 2024 edition of the Calabar Carnival and Festival is a fusion of music, dance, culture, and innovation, with parades, exhilarating performances, and creative brand experiences that will captivate thousands of local and international visitors.

The week long carnival which started on December 26, ends on December 31, 2024.
