Kemi Afolabi starts Lupus treatment in US

Nollywood actress, Kemi Afolabi, has embarked on a journey to the United States of America (US) for the treatment of her Lupus.

She also states that it is beautiful souls that made her journey come to pass. She shows a sign of gratitude and also asks her loved ones to wish her luck on the journey.

“I commence my lupus treatment journey today 06/30/2022 with @hopkinsmedicine ALIHAMDULILAH 🙏

Some beautiful souls made this happen, God bless you all🙏❤️ wish me luck🙏’’ she wrote.

The 44-year-old actress disclosed earlier in the year that the doctor said she had five years to live.
According to her, she lived just a year after the doctor’s pronouncement, as she tearfully noted that she didn’t know how much she had left.

Afolabi quoted her doctor as saying, “Make sure you are with your loved ones. At least, you still have up to five years.”

Talking about the sickness, she said, “I have lupus. It’s not curable. You just have to take medications for the rest of your life.”

She noted that she paid N1.2m on a treatment which did not work as she continually cried in pain.
