Killings: Plateau assembly to partner with security agencies

Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly Rt. Hon Yakubu Sanda has expressed the house’s readiness to collaborate with Security Agencies in the State for peaceful co-existence amongst citizens.

Sanda made this known while on a familiarization visit to the State Command office of the Department of State Service, Plateau State.

The Speaker who appreciated the Service for its professionalism in the discharge of its duty sought closer collaboration that will be of benefit to the people of Plateau State.

Hon Sanda assured the service of better welfare and working environment for its personnel working in the State Assembly.

The Acting Deputy Direction of the State Command, Veroniki Abraham who received the Speaker and his entourage, described the visit as the opt-in view of recent events in the State Assembly.

He assured the Speaker and his entourage of the Agency’s readiness to partner in the Sustenance of Peace and Security in the State.

Mr. Veroniki explained that the Service has done a need assessment of the Assembly Complex and will come up with its recommendation as regards Security measures.

The Speaker and his entourage were also at the Place of Ogomo Pengana, Isuwa Shayan, to seek Royal blessings from the Traditional Monarch.

The Speaker noted that as a Son of the Land, it behooves on him to come back home after his elevation as Speaker to seek wise Counsel and blessings from the Royal father to enable him to succeed.

Responding, the Ogomo Pengana, Isuwa Shayan, described the visit as a demonstration of the Speaker’s Sense of humility.

The Royal father promised his support at all times and admonished him to use his wealth of experience to be just and unite members of the house.

He appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Simon Lalong for finding Sons and Daughters of Pengana worthy of appointments in their administrations.
