
Nigeria’s Centre of Excellency, commercial city, and former capital, Lagos has been rated as the second most stressful city to live in globally.
Lagos which is second has the highest unemployment rate (37.1%), followed by Johannesburg (35.1%) and Cape Town (26%) while Mumbi in India came first out of hundred cities according to research released on Thursday by VAAY.com
VAAY.com said that cities were rated by following overall stressful social, environmental, and economic conditions, and which cities lead the way in reducing the stress levels of their inhabitants.
The research also looked at the unemployment rates, social security structures, and the amount of disposable income a household has after-tax and accommodation costs, adjusted for purchasing power parity, amongst other factors.

In Africa, Johannesburg ranked 49, Cape Town 51st, Cairo in Egypt 88th, Dakar in Senegal 84, Nairobi in Kenya 80, Algiers in Algeria 74, Riyadh in Saudi Arabia 77
Mumbai, India, ranks as the most stressful city in the study, followed by Lagos, Nigeria, and Manila, the Philippines. Manila is the most densely populated city in the study, ahead of Doha, Qatar, and Kabul, Afghanistan.
Top ten on the list are Reykjavik in Iceland, Bern in Switzerland, Helsinki in Finland, Wellington in New Zealand,
Melbourne in Australia, Oslo in Norway, Copenhagen in Denmark, Innsbruck in Austria, Hanover in Germany,
and Graz in Austria.
