Marital crisis: Most celebrities are “Israel DMW” to politicians – Seun Kuti
Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, has slammed Nigerian celebrities for praising politicians.
In a recent post on his Instagram story, Kuti also described them as ‘billion-dollar slaves.’
He wrote, “Nigerians dey talk about dignity? Nothing wey keypad no go cause,
“All the celebrities in Nigeria behave like Israel in front of politicians and billionaires, na praise una dey praise dem na. Why is this different?
“At least David isn’t sucking your blood! Who deserves hailing? Question for the gods. Billion-dollar slaves.
“The commodification of the African existence and why Israel is everyone. Live after sound check.”
Seun Kuti was reacting to the break-up of the marriage between Davido’s logistic manager, Israel DMW and wife, Sheila.
According to Israel, Sheila had complained about the way he hypes Davido, calling him “My oga, my oga” often, with many social media users branding the hype as “slave behaviour.”
