Ministerial appointment: Group urges Tinubu to consider Southern Kaduna

Group under the aegis of Southern Kaduna Political Forum, has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider Southern Kaduna indigene for ministerial appointment to address the continued marginalization of people of the zone.

The group also called on the state Governor, Senator Uba Sani to also consider Southern Kaduna, when constituting his cabinet to address the issue of alleged marginalization.

National Coordinator of the group, Prince Josiah Luka, in a statement, said the call became necessary in the interest of equity, justice and fairness.

Prince Luka, observed that the Minister that represented Kaduna State, in the cabinet of former President Buhari’s administration was picked from Kaduna North, stressing that it is now the turn of Southern Kaduna.

This is as the statement posited that Kaduna deserves two ministerial position giving the historical background of the state.

“In view of this poignant fact, Southern Kaduna is, therefore, the next priority zone for consideration for ministerial appointment in the present dispensation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu even if its only one slot that would be conceded to Kaduna state,” the statement said.

The partisan group, which, noted that southern Kaduna is lagging behind in the areas of social amenities and infrastructural development accused the former governor for neglecting the areas during his eight years administration.

Prince Luka, said: “We strongly believe that no one can love and care for us better than a protagonist and major campaigner of Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President 2023, Dr Abdulmalik Durungwa, a strong believer of a united Nigeria, a hard working administrator per excellence, a former governorship aspirant and reliable Political partner of both Muslim and Christian. If Mr President will consider our nomination, Dr Abdulmalik Durungwa, we are certainly sure that the hope agenda of Mr President will show total inclusiveness and give Southern Kaduna a sense of belonging”.

The group concluded that considering Southern Kaduna, would in no small measure breach deficit of social amenities in the area.
