Former child actor Samuel Olasehinde Ajirebi has opened up about why his mother sacrificed her acting career.
According to the son of veteran actor, Pa James Ajirebi, his mother quit acting to focus on raising their family.
The former child actor said his mother had an agreement with Pa James to continue his acting career while she took care of the home.
“As I was told, before she got married, she was an actress. But she loved the idea of her husband being in the industry while she focused on the family. She wasn’t forced to step aside; she did it for the future of her children,” he said.
He also disclosed that he had to pause his acting career to pursue his education, appreciating his parents for making the decision on his behalf.
“Everything was my parents’ decision. They understood that whatever I achieved as a child actor was just a rehearsal for what I could become with proper education. They were not swayed by the fame and money I had at the time,” he added.
