N100m challenge: Cynthia Morgan berates Davido, protégés

Dancehall singer, Cynthia Morgan has knocked singer Davido for compelling his friends, fans to contribute N1m each for his birthday celebration.

Davido had taken to his Instagram story on Wednesday and asked his friends, associates, to contribute money for him to clear his Rolls Royce, which is his birthday gift, at the port.

“We rise by lifting others abi? Me I don dey rise dey lifting others for the past 100 years. So, I want to know who my friends are. All of my friends one one million Naira. They said we are 30BG. If you don’t send your own. You out of here. You are gone,” he wrote.

The singer garnered over N150m in less than 24 hours, an unprecedented amount as his intended target was N100m.

Reacting via her Instagram story, Cynthia Morgan said that there was nothing to celebrate if Davido had to “compel people to celebrate him.”

She also took a jab at the singer’s proteges, describing them as ungrateful for allowing their boss to ask the public to donate N1m each.
