Nasarawa traditional ruler begs for befitting palace

Alhaji Aliyu Baba Daudu, the Gomo Babye of Gadabuke Development Area of Nasarawa State, has appealed to the state government to build a befitting palace for the chiefdom.

The traditional ruler made the call on Monday in Gadabuke during the installation of Mr Abdullahi Azaki as the Village Head of the Zagabutu community and Mr Ishaku Isah as Village Head of Gadabuke.

“Since my installation on the throne about 30 years ago, I converted my personal residence to a palace, hence that is the reason I am making this request.

“I call on stakeholders of Gadabuke to rise up to the occasion and ensure that a befitting palace is built for the chiefdom to ensure quality service delivery and promotion of peace in the area.’’

Ondo to prosecute erring commercial cyclists over recklessness.

Baba Daudu also urged other village heads to rule their people with the fear of God, saying “you must carry everybody in your areas along for peace to reign and for the overall development of your respective communities”.

He called on the people of the area to continue to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.

The first class traditional ruler enjoined his subjects to support government policies and programmes to enable them to benefit more.
