National Stadium to undergo eight weeks restoration phase

The National Stadium in Lagos is undergoing a restoration phase and it is scheduled to last for eight weeks. The restoration phase would help restore the National Stadium to its former glory and involve the destruction of O’jez Bar and Old Skool, among other illegal structures.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has issued a 14-day ultimatum to occupants of the illegal structures to leave the premises of the National Stadium so that work can commence in earnest on the stadium.
The ultimatum ends today and it is reported that the illegal structures would be pulled down later today.
Though some structures would remain eventually, the Ministry has averred that it is not witch-hunting any individually.
