The execution of the proposed employment of 774,000 young ones has been taken over by the National Directorate of Employment (NDE). This was announced by Dr Nasiru Ladan Mohammed Argungu, the DG of the agency.
Dr Ladan made it known that the agency is capable of executing the programme. And his team would embark on a tour of selected states to confirm that everything is set for the program to start on the 1st of October 2020. According to him, the agency has 691 desk officers in 774 LGAs and they are capable of carrying out the assignment.
Pilot tests had been carried out in selected states, such as Kwara, Ekiti, Edo, Katsina, Ebonyi and the success of the tests gives assurance that the execution of the 774,000 jobs would be a success.
