NDLEA destroys illegal drugs worth millions in Aba

Illegal drugs worth millions of naira were destroyed by The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on court order gotten from the Federal High Court Umuahia. These drugs had been seized by the agency earlier.
Col. Muhammed Abdallah, the Chairman and Chief Executive of the agency stated that the public destruction of the illegal drugs was a warning to addicts and drug pushers who are caught up in the destructive lifestyle.
The destruction of the drugs took place at the NDLEA’s office at Ogbor Hill in Aba.
The drugs that were destroyed were said to weigh 9,110,252kg and included 6,574.116kg of Cannabis, 10.81kg of Heroin, 8.9832 kg of Cocaine and 2,516.394kg of Psychotropic Substances.
