Nigerian American, Agbede, fights to replace Kamala Harris at US Senate

Dr. Akinyemi Agbede, a Nigerian-American, mathematician, and Democrat is seeking to replace Vice President Kamala Harris at US Senate.

Agbede who seeking to represent the state of California at the Congress will slog it with other candidates at the primary scheduled for June 7, 2022.

In his campaign, Agbede said he believes everyone, regardless of race, gender, religion or sexual orientation, should be treated equally under the law.

Agbede also said that if elected he will be focusing on ensuring that the state’s revenues are invested in the right policies and ensure programs that will help the common man.

Agbede was born on the 5th of May, 1964 in Lagos and went to Baptist Academy Obanikoro in Lagos.

He studied Mathematics at the University of Lagos, Lagos Nigeria and his Ph. D. in Mathematical Analysis from Ivy League University, University of Cambridge England, United Kingdom.
