TRACE officer kidnapped on Lagos-Ibadan expressway
An officer of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Popoola Olasupo, was on Sunday abducted at Fidiwo axis on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) gathered that Olasupo was kidnapped at about 6:30 am on Sunday morning while going to his duty post.
Dino Melaye emerges as Kogi PDP guber candidate
Sen. Dino Melaye on Sunday emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Nov. 11 Kogi governorship election.
Alhaji Ahmed Makarfi, the chairman of the PDP primary election committee said this shortly after the primary election in Lokoja.
Fintiri reacts as INEC suspends collation of results in Adamawa
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has called on residents of the state to remain calm and peaceful as collation of results of the just-concluded governorship supplementary election has been suspended by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Governor, who addressed a news conference in Yola on Sunday, has commended the national headquarters of INEC for its prompt action, halting the declaration of APC governorship candidate, Aishatu Binani, as governor-elect.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has debunked reports that Senator Aishatu Binani has been declared winner of the Adamawa Gubernatorial election.
The Commission, in a statement issued on Sunday, said that the election process in Adamawa had not been concluded.

Tiwa Savage: Police arrest persons over attack, attempted kidnap
The Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department, Alagbon, Ikoyi in Lagos, says it has arrested some persons in connection with the alleged attempt to kidnap Tiwa Savage.
The department’s spokesperson, CSP Oluniyi Ogundeyi, confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Lagos.
