Edo State Regional Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Professor Dele Balogun, on Sunday in Benin City urged supporters of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to remain focused.
Speaking at the Thanksgiving service by Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu who is an ordained Minister of the RCCG and his family had he said, “God may allow them to lose a battle and later win the war to test their faith”.
The candidate of the APC in the Edo2020 governorship election in Edo, Pastor Ize-Iyamu at the event held at the Soul Winners Assembly Parish of the Church which he pastors dismissed claims that he was downcast over the outcome of the election.
He said God expects Man to offer him praises in all situations so he chose instead to express gratitude for the exercise, as well as immensely thank supporters and those who assisted him.
The APC Governorship Candidate, whose sermon was titled “Utilizing Opportunities”, said every opportunity must be seized to achieve an aim.
On the Election, Pastor Ize-Iyamu said that defeat is an imagined state, and that since the Exercise he had not felt defeated.
He admonished his supporters not to allow the seed of defeat germinate amongst them, as God has decreed that all the “Earth is theirs”.
The minister asked them to heed God’s caution in Thessalonians 5:16-18 that true believers do not “give away to grief’, ‘rejoice evermore’ and ‘pray without ceasing’ as he (God) only can determine the future.”
