Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, former Governor of Enugu State and Senator representing Enugu East in the Senate, has formally resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He did, however, thank his constituents for their unwavering support over the years.
Nnamani stated in a statement that he has consulted with his associates and constituents and has decided to leave the PDP due to irreconcilable differences with the party’s national leadership.
He stated that he has moved on and hoped that his modest contributions to the development of his constituency would serve as the foundation upon which his successors could build.
Nnamani thanked Nigerians, particularly the Ebeano political family, and urged them to persevere in the coming years.
