FMITI holds third-quarter retreat

The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI) on Tuesday 19th of November 2024 held it third-quarter retreat to take stock of its performance in the period under review.

The retreat which has the theme: ‘A Review on The Third Quarter Implementation of The Presidential Mandate And Ministry’s Deliverables’ was held at the NEPC Auditorium with the Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Enoh in attendance.

Also in attendance were the Permanent Secretary, Directors of the Ministry, Chief Executive Officers of Parastatals, Delivery Task Officers.

The forum provided opportunity for the minister and top officials of the ministry to access the performance of the ministry and way forward.

Speaking at the retreat which also featured other stakeholders, the minister, emphasised that the FMITI role is crucial in realising President Bola Tinubu’s vision for Nigeria’s economic growth, assuring of his commitment to meeting the targets and fulfilling mandates of the federal government.

“The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment plays a crucial role in realizing President Tinubu’s vision for Nigeria. As a result, by focusing on priority 7: Accelerating Diversification through Industrialisation, Digitization, and Innovative Technology, therein lies the opportunity to create jobs, boost exports, and enhance our country’s economic competitiveness.

“To this end, the Minister of State for Industry is committed to meeting targets and fulfilling these mandates,” he said.
