No ceremonies to mark projects commissioning in Benue

During the last six years, commissioning of projects in Benue state has been devoid of any elaborate ceremonies. And Samuel Ortom, Governor of Benue State, has explained that it is a means to conserve funds that would be best used for community development.
Governor Ortom said this during the commissioning of Zaki-Biam, Afia-Gbeji Road in Ukum Local Council; Mbaton-Amaafu electricity project and a Central Primary School in Katsina-Ala Local Council.
The commissioning of these projects was in response to critics accusing the Ortom administration of achieving nothing tangible in the state.
Furthering on this, construction of a thousand schools and renovation of ninety-nine schools would commence with the aid of funds from the N4 billion from the state and the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).
