Emmanuel Bus Stop, Abule Egba, was the scene of a violent clash between some members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and officials of Lagos State Task Force on Environmental Sanitation.
It was alleged that a bus driver and conductor were involved in a disagreement with the task force officials and were subsequently killed.
It is unclear whether they were shot or crushed by their patrol vehicles. And this resulted in a bloody fight, chaos and vandalism that lasted for almost two hours in the area.
The Lagos State Police Command, however, revealed that no one was killed by the Taskforce, and the ruckus was caused as a means to cover up for a driver who was caught driving against traffic.
