NYSC fixes July 9 for passing-out of 2025 Batch B stream I corps members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced July 9, 2026, as the date for the passing-out of members of the 2025 Batch B Stream I nationwide.
The scheme disclosed this in a statement issued by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, noting that activities preceding the passing-out exercise had already commenced.
According to the statement, the winding-up programme began on June 23 and includes a series of engagements designed to prepare corps members for life after national service.
“The activities lined up for the passing-out exercise include Job Advisory and Counselling programmes organised by the NYSC and partner agencies, registration and clearance of corps members by Local Government Inspectors, as well as the endorsement of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors,” the statement said.
The NYSC explained that the passing-out exercise would be conducted on a low-key basis across the country, with Certificates of National Service to be presented only to corps members who have successfully fulfilled all requirements of the scheme.
The statement added that the certificates would be distributed at the various local government areas where the corps members served.
The Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated the outgoing corps members and wished them a successful completion of their national service year.
He also encouraged them to uphold the values and ideals of the scheme as they transition into the next phase of their lives.
Nafiu urged the corps members to remain responsible citizens and continue to serve as worthy representatives of the NYSC wherever they find themselves after service.
