Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano has reassured investors of continued improvement of security architecture for growth in investment, development, and employment opportunities in the state.
Obiano gave the assurance shortly after inspecting the Radopin Supermarket officially opened at Kwata in Awka, the state capital.
The governor, represented by outgoing Head of Service, Barr. Harry Uduh commended the owner of the mall, Mr. Raph Azolo for assisting the government in increasing its internally generated revenue and providing employment opportunities for the teaming youths.
Also, Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Mr. Uchenna Okafor described the new mall as one of the best in the city, calling on other wealthy individuals, both at home and in the diaspora to borrow a leaf in citing more industries in the state.
“Such moves will go a long way to complementing the efforts of Governor Obiano-led administration in creating enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state,” he added.
Okafor pledged the government’s preparedness to continue to assist business enterprises in the state.
Dedicating the shopping mall, Catholic Bishop of Awka, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor prayed for God’s increased blessings on the supermarket management, urging them to avoid the sale of inferior goods.
The National Vice President, Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, expressed joy over the achievement by the business mogul, especially in view of his humble beginning.
He said, “About 40years ago, I met him is a small lockup shop where he sleeps. He is known for hard work, which is alien to the life of a typical youth. He passed several obstacles to get to this stage.
“Looking at what is here, they’re all homegrown, the contractor, architect, and electricians are all from this state. This is one of the best in the capital city, befitting the city.

“This kind of think-home philosophy should be encouraged by government through incentives, including tax rebate because the investment here is not what can be recovered soon.”
Chairman of Radopin Supermarket, Mr. Ralph Azolo, said the supermarket which started in 1986 as a little provision shop has now metamorphosed to the present status.
He pledges quality goods and services at pocket-friendly prices.
Azolo advised those with business ideas not to be afraid of venturing into business with little capital, but to trust God for increased productivity.
