Obuah, who is currently on vacation outside the country, lauded the tribunal for the dispatch and in-depth look into the petitions by the governorship candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP), Accord and Allied Peoples Movement (APM) against Fubara’s victory regarding the votes of the Rivers people on March 18, 2023.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam, Obuah applauded the tribunal for the detailed and unprejudiced findings that have put the political jamboree to rest.
Obuah was highly elated that the massive support of Rivers people for the PDP, as evidenced during the campaigns, which translated into massive votes for Fubara and other PDP candidates during the general elections, has been revalidated by the Rivers State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal.

The ex-DG, who is also the immediate past Sole Administrator of Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), congratulated the governor on the undisputed victory, and predicted more winning streaks for the PDP in subsequent elections in the state, given the array of people-oriented projects, good governance, and quality leadership already put in place by the immediate past state governor, Nyesom Wike, now the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Obuah thanked all the Rivers people and all other kind-spirited Nigerians who have continued to support the Rivers State government through their encouragement and prayers.
He reassured that the supports will never be taken for granted, and will be reciprocally rewarded through good policies and programmes, continued massive infrastructural and human capital development across the state, security of lives and property, and a conducive atmosphere for business, among many others, by the Fubara administration.
“I, therefore, enjoin you all not to relent in your supports and shun any tactics by political opponents and detractors to deceive you into anything that may tantamount to counter or anti-government,” Obuah appealed.
