Chairman of Emuoha Local Government Area in Rivers, Chidi Lloyd has said that former Rivers Governor, Peter Odili should not have taken sides in the political crisis between FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike and Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Lloyd said this in an interview with Channels TV, adding that the elderstatesman should have taken a diplomatic approach towards settling the rift between Wike and Fubara.
He made reference to the manner in which the Tor Tiv of Benue state settled the rift between Governor Hyacinth Alia and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume.

Lloyd implored Odili to bring the Minister and Fubara together to settle the feud peacefully instead of dangerously taking sides.
“We watched on TV what Tor Tiv did with SGF and Governor Alia, that is what elders should do and not to come and dangerously take sides and polarize the state unnecessarily,” he said.
