
The duo were also of the opinion that the violence, wars, insecurity, suffering, want and other forms of adversity confronting the nation and the world today are the consequences of absence or fake love.
They spoke at the weekend in Osogbo during the traditional wedding ceremony of Tolulope, the daughter of the Provost of Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) Academy, Prof. Olatunde Babawale, chaired by Omisore.
The clergy delivered words of exaltation at the ceremony attended among others by the outgoing chairman of the anti-graft Commission, Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye, a former Vice-Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Prof. Mimiko; Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Lagos, Prof. Adelaja Odukoya; his Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) counterpart, Prof Akin Alao, renowned playwright and literary icon, Jimmy Solanke, among others

The celebrant, Babawale, while reinforcing the position of the speakers, drew a nexus between love at the family level, the country at large, and by extension the entire world.
He stressed that there was a symbiotic connectivity between the homes and the general malaise bedeviling the country today.
It was their shared view that a people, a nation and a religion that places a high premium on love must unite against hatred and seek the protection of mutual peace for fellow human beings.
They, therefore, admonished political leaders, religious leaders, and particularly, communal and family leaders, to take the cultural issue of traditional marriages very seriously, being the foundation of any nation, by ensuring strict impartation of the country’s various ethics and value system when conducting marriages, which they said, had remained the guiding principle and enforcer of dignity and honour in the memorable past.
