By Francis Ajuonuma
Interim head coach of the Super Eagles, Augustine Eguavoen has admitted that the Three-time African champions will surely miss the services of top striker, Victor Osimhen and inform Watford forward, Emmanuel Dennis.

Osimhen, who is recuperating from a facial injury suffered last November is not expected to be involved in on-field football matches until after 90 days, Napoli doctor, Roberto Ruggero had warned, while Dennis is being held back by Watford with the player appealing to Eguavoen to excuse him from the AFCON squad.

Reacting to questions on whether the absence of the two players will be felt in the team, Eguavoen, who also regretted the absence of Leon Balogun from the Super Eagles bound squad said: “The only thing is to change the style of play because the personnel is not there as we expected. “Definitely Victor Osimhen is a big miss, Emmanuel Dennis is in form, also a big miss.

“Leon Balogun, we spoke as well, back injury, so be it. So, we have to just alter the formation and how we approach the games as well but everybody in camp who replaces who doesn’t matter. “It is not a right to play for Nigeria, it is a privilege so this is green-white-green, you’re given an opportunity I think you should take it.”
