Osun PDP primary: Mob sets Adeleke’s billboard ablaze

There was confusion in Ejigbo town in, Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State on Monday following the burning of the campaign billboards of PDP Governorship aspirant, Senator Ademola Adeleke by unknown persons.

It was learned that a mob was observed destroying and tearing down the billboards in parts of the town.
Senator Adeleke is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for the Osun 2022 election.

As of press time, the cause of the incident had not been ascertained.

However, a source said it is might be unconnected to the recently concluded Osun PDP primaries for the Osun State House of Assembly and House of Representatives election.

Sources said the mob may have been instigated by supporters of popular aspirants who lost out during the primaries.

It would be recalled that after the election, there have been feelings of betrayal among some of the aspirants who are seeking to return to their elective positions but felt abandoned by Senator Ademola Adeleke.
