PDP derides APC, says Nigeria now shares sovereignty with terrorists

By Linus Aleke, Abuja
The Opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has derided the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying, “the litany of woes is endless,” in Nigeria.

The party added that the country now shares sovereignty with terrorists.

The National Chairman of PDP, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu said this while welcoming delegates to the party’s 2022 Special National Convention in Abuja.

Ayu said Nigeria under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has become both the poverty capital of the world and the third most terrorised country in the entire universe.

“Nigeria is now both the poverty capital of the world. Also, Nigeria is the third most terrorised country. The economy has collapsed. Government now prints money to pay salaries. Unemployment is about 35 percent. Government now share sovereignty with terrorists. Bandits now regulate domestic travel – be it by road, rail or air. The litany of woes is endless,” he said.

The National Chairman noted that the return of PDP to power at the centre will usher daybreak in Nigeria.

According to him, “Nigerians have woken up from the anesthesia of false promises. They have seen the limit of propaganda. And they want a return to development which PDP represent.

Our focus is on 2023, but we see retaking both Osun and Ekiti in the July elections as our low hanging fruits. The electoral triumphs from there will sustain our momentum, boost the morale of party members and amplify our notice to the overwhelmed APC that PDP is coming”.

He concluded that in December, when PDP takes over, Nigeria shall rise again.
