PHOTOS: Bank of England unveiled bank notes featuring King Charles

The Bank of England has unveiled the First bank notes featuring King Charles III.

The banknotes were unveiled following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

According to a statement by the Bank of England Governor, Andrew Bailey said, “this is a significant moment, as the King is only the second monarch to feature on our banknotes.”

In mid-2024, the notes are expected to enter circulation because currently there are notes in circulation carrying the Queen’s face and will be replaced over time.
